There's Just An Innocence in you I Wanna Wring Out « Thread Started on Jun 18, 2008, 12:26am »
Tonight was a special night, as evident by Brighton... rather, The March Hare's outfit. No, that square Brighton didn't exist tonight. It was a night for fun and happiness. It was the night of the March Hare.
Or so it would be if the bloody rabbit was home. He'd leaned on the bell for a good long while, but there was no reply. blast! Was he inside, entertaining someone? Or was he just going to ignore the poor little hare out there, whiny, impatient, and desperate for just five little mood enhancing pills. Just a few, that's all he needed!
"Come on," The Hare murmured, "Come on, Rabbit, come on... it's not a night without them... Agh... be strong, Em, he'll probably be back soon... just keep thinking good thoughts..."

The night was young and Lucy was ready to have a good time. She had snorted two lines of cocaine before sunset and she didn't have to pay for them. Then she had wandered away from the rabbit hole into town, running an errand for the white rabbit. On her way back she discovered some money in her pocket so she took a side trip to the candy strore. She bought the biggest bag of swedish fish she could afford. The chewy fish clung to her teeth but she didn't really care because she just threw a few more into her mouth.
Once near the apartment she noticed someone waiting outside. A grin spread across the girl's face before she ran to the boy that she remembered as the march hare. She wrapped her arms around him from behind, giving him a huge hug. She knew the March Hare, pretty good though they weren't best friends just yet. He seemed liek he was a little stressed and in need of a hug. "Hello my love," she greeted him, not even waiting for him to react to the surprise hug attack.

"God damnit!" The March Hare was rarely ever taken by surprise but today he was jumpy, desperate, and not expecting to be touched. Had she come up behind him and yelled "Booo!" it would've been less startling.
"Damnit, Dormouse," He said, turning around, "I haven't had ecstasy, so no touchy! No touchy!" So much for thinking good thoughts. Angrily, the Hare began to straighten his outfit. Brighton would've been ashamed to wear this sort of thing, and would definitely cringe and hide to be seen in such a thing. Not the March Hare. But... but how long would Brighton stay away without some mood enhancing pills?

Her smile turned into a frown. She really disliked when the March Hare was so jumpy, it really was a downer to her. It didn't keep her down for too long though, for with a twitch of her nose a smile was back on her face. "I should be able to touch you whenever I well please," she nodded. Her words were slurred and sounded more like a little kid than a teenager. This was her usual tone when she was high on cocaine. Her voice was never quite normal, it differed from a little kid tone to a sort of singing. Lucy looked the boy up and down and could see that he wasn't the normal Brighton, she met from time to time. No, this boy was the March Hare, in obvious need of a fix.
"With all your impatience you will drag out the time," she said in a sing-song voice. The girl really didn't understand what she had just said, it just came grom her mouth. Her mind began to wander off thinking about the candy in her hand. The last time she had had candy was when Jerrod had brought her a ring pop. That had also been the las time she had seen Jacques, her other best friend. She wondered what he had been up to, since he left a little angrily.

Well, maybe it was a good thing that she was here. She might make the time pass a little more quickly. She may have been already all messed up or she may have been waiting for the Rabbit, too. The smart money was on the former.
"Well really," he said, still a bit indignant, but not in the usual Brighton Gates way. This was more of a bubbly, twinkish indignant reaction rather than the usual "wet sweater" kind of morose reaction Brighton might have given. "You should know better than to touch me when I haven't had a few in my system! Shouldn't you by now?" He turned back to the door and hugged himself again, looking anxious.
"Speaking of which, if that rabbit doesn't hurry..."
